Description

This is officially the girliest painting I have ever done - and it was requested by a guy (David, in the picture). Lots of colors in this one. Three hours in Photoshop. I like the lighting on this one.

I gave it +5 cause of the grass. I like the grass.

I must say, the picture is pretty gay. :o) But its great to see that you are so young and prolific in creating artwork. If you keep it up you can be great in just a few years. I would use reference images to get anatomy correct, and the grass does have merit. It goes back into space well. Keep it up.

The guy who requested it is gay. Really. I like having a bit of cartoony feel to it, but I should get an understanding of realism too. Thanks, everyone - glad you like the grass.

again, what is it with people and realism... i get the craftyness of it, but i don't think it is at all necessary! it's like in guitar playing, the fastest guitar player doesn't necessarily mean it is the best guitar player. i can appreciate craft and skill in rendering shadows and whatnot, but i do not feel it is a requirement on your pictures. they stand on their own and i love their unabashed approach at almost kitschy cliched work! full points!

I like the colors ^0^

The only crit I have is that some outlines are blurry, if you use the airbrush in photoshop you need to go past outlines with a really small airbrush or use selection masks, otherwise everything gets a bit blurry :)
